The studio microphone M 92.1 S is equipped with the legendary PVC capsule M 7, which has a unique sound. This works as a pressure gradient receiver with two gold-coated plastic membranes. The M 92.1 S is characterized by a large signal-to-noise ratio and high transmission factor. It has the warm, full sound typical of tube microphones, which is particularly preferred by singers and soloists.
The power supply unit N 920.1 supplies the polarization voltage for the capsule and the operating voltages for the tube preamplifier. This is equipped with a pentode working as a triode, which is selected with regard to its acoustic behavior.
