Look no further than the 80B-500 Series Preamp - A faithful recreation of the legendary Trident Series 80B console preamp from the early 1980s The 80B-500 Series Preamp features a unique design that can handle signal levels from -60dBu to as high as +15dBu without the need for a separate pad switch. Its smooth gain adjustment, particularly at high signal levels, sets it apart from other designs that tend to have a cramped level adjustment at the end of the control. And with near-theoretical minimum noise figures and an extremely fast transient response, you can be confident that your recordings will be crystal-clear and distortion-free. With a frequency response that extends to above 40kHz, the 80B-500 Series Preamp is perfect for use with high-quality condenser microphones. But it also brings out the best in dynamic and ribbon microphones, thanks to its high gain and low noise. This is particularly useful when working with ribbon microphones, which often have an inherently low output level.
